What values do you have that you believe you carried into your brand and company?
Sounds simple, but we always aim to treat customers exactly how we'd like to be treated. This extends into everything from the ingredients we use to how we price our products to how we communicate.
What’s your favorite part of creating your products?
The entire creative process, really. Having an idea, testing, tweaking, testing more until finally you have the exact thing in front of you that was just a concept in your head...it's very rewarding.
What inspired Epic Blend?
When we started out, back in 2007, there weren't many options for more natural products so we developed products that we loved and just hoped others would like them as much as we did.
Now we're more inspired to make people feel good. We're motivated to make moments special and days fun.
What was your biggest hurdle in creating your own skincare line?
Great question. There are always plenty of challenges, but I think the biggest is just being a small business and handling the logistics of everything that go into running a brand. There's just two of us that do everything from product development, production, shipping, web design, label design, wholesale, marketing, etc. It's a lot, and it's a lot of hats to wear, but it definitely keeps things interesting.
What inspired the concept behind creating a body-care brand that’s build for Wild, Free, and Fun?
The natural body-care market seemed so serious. We thought 'why so serious? We want people to have more fun. We want to make people feel good.' So we built things around the idea that when you feel good anything is possible. And, helping create these special moments - whether that's from a body wash first thing in the morning, or a relaxing bath at the end of a long day.
