Welcome to the New Year! This is a time where many people like to self reflect, start new, and set goals for themselves. If you’re looking to kick off the new year with a focus on your health and well-being, here are our list of self care resolutions for 2020.
Drink More Water
This one is something most of us know is important to our skin and overall well-being, but can easily be forgotten when we’re busy and running around. One of the ways we like to make it easy to remember to drink water is by having a large water bottle with a straw. Studies have shown that drinking with a straw makes it easier to drink liquids.
Schedule in Quiet Time
In today’s world of sensory overload, being glued to our phones, and in general, always being “on” it’s imperative that we take some time for ourselves without all the noise. This can be as simple as taking 5 minutes of silence when you wake up, driving to work without music on, or scheduling in a full on meditation.
Say No More Often
In the world of glorifying the “hustle” and always being “busy” it’s important to know when to say no. Yes, it usually feels good to help someone out, but does it put you in a more stressful position? If so, does it align with your goals? It’s tempting to always say “yes” to get ahead or to be helpful, but don’t always feel the pressure to agree to help out. By saying “no” more often, you give yourself more opportunities to say “yes” to the things that you actually want to do.

Invest in your skin
These days, it’s less about the caked on makeup, and more about our inner glow, and this all starts with your skincare. Make an investment in yourself, and your skin to slowly incorporate more natural products into your ritual. As you probably know, there are a ton of benefits to ensuring your skincare is free of known toxins and fillers. Start reading ingredient labels, educate yourself on the types of natural ingredients that suit your skin type, and make a conscious effort to know where all of your products are being produced and made.
